1. Studio/Post House Process

a.) Tape(s) are loaded into deck for ingest
b.) Encoder captures video and creates desired bit rate proxy files with Vertical Interval Timecode (VITC) and Burnt-In Timecode (BITC)
c.) (Optional) - A generated text report can be extracted from the transcription and saved to a corresponding folder where studio/post house resources can access the file as a reference for the subtitling process.

2. Mesoft SELECT Server Process

a.) Mesoft SELECT Server ingests created files from Studio/Post House into designated transcription project folder
b.) Mesoft SELECT Server is appropriately configured to grant access to digitized media for the defined group of transcription users
g.) All users within the following scenario are leveraging the same centralized content

3. Continuity Transcription House Process

a.) Transcription user(s) starts Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)
b.) User(s) inputs a uniquely assigned PIN and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to the appropriate folder filled with the digitized media for transcription
d.) User selects assigned file and begins transcription process
e.) Using Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition) controls, the user can quickly create timecode hyperlinks associated with the current scene transciption as well as easily segmenting full programs, movies, tapes into subclips for greater transcription workflow management
e.) Once the user completes their transcription tasks, they simply log off Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)

4. Foreign House Process
(Optional)

a.) Foreign house user(s) starts Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)
b.) User(s) inputs a uniquely assigned PIN and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to the appropriate folder filled with the digitized media to review for foreign language translantion and transcription
d.) User accesses corresponding text file containing the full original language transcript
e.) User creates corresponding foreign language text file while reviewing the transcribed media
f.) User uploads their newly created text file into a designated folder
e.) Once the user completes their transcription tasks, they simply log off Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)
NOTE: Your scenario may differ from the above stated but Mesoft believes it can easily configure the technology platform to suit your specific production workflow. HD material may be delivered via courier service and physically ingested into a local server due to the inherent large file size of the material. It may not be practical to send HD material over the Internet due to the wire speed limitations.
