Production & Ingest Process
a.) Single (multi) camera film shoot
b.) Film is delivered to lab and developed
c.) Developed film is processed through telecine and creates hi-resolution tape
c.) Encoder creates hi and low resolution digital files that are transfered to a designated hard drive, NAS, SAN or other disk based system
d.) The digital media is then ingested into a Mesoft SELECT Server and potentially into a NLE storage repository
e.) Point (A) is defined as a central delivery server (remote or local)
f.) Mesoft SELECT Server is appropriately configured to grant access to digitized high and low resolution media for a defined group of users
Point (A) to Point (B) Scenario**
a.) Director and/or a Director of Photography (user) turns on Mesoft's SELECT RNA (Web Edition) from a web browser on their laptop
b.) User inputs a uniquely assigned PIN and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to the appropriate folder filled with dailies content
d.) User selects desired content and plays the media
Point (A) to Point (C) Scenario**
a.) Post House (user) starts Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)
b.) User inputs a uniquely assigned username and password and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to designated folder and accesses, selects and plays low resolution media
d.) User notices something about the content, marks IN-OUT point and creates a subclip to earmark the content segment of concern
e.) User sends message to appropriate group memebers via Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition)of finding
f.) User continues to view accessible media and downloads high resolution content to begin some initial editorial builds
g.) User logs off Mesoft's SELECT VUE-R (Desktop Edition) and shuts computer down

Point (A) to Point (D) Scenario
a.) Remote Producer or assistant (user) starts a supported web browser and accesses the content via Mesoft's SELECT RNA (Web Edition)
b.) User inputs a uniquely assigned username and password and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to designated folder and accesses, selects and plays low resolution media for review
d.) User logs off Mesoft's SELECT RNA (Web Edition) and shuts computer down
Point (A) to Point (E) Scenario**
a.) Executive (user) visits Mesoft's SELECT RNA (Web Edition) from a web browser on their laptop
b.) User inputs a uniquely assigned PIN and is securely authenticated by a Mesoft SELECT Server pre-configured for the workflow
c.) User navigates to the appropriate folder filled with dailies content
d.) User selects desired content and plays the media |
